SCORES FOR THE FOREST ORGAN
Location: walled forest garden inside the Buckland Forest, Dartmoor National Park The Garden body is elongated and ascends along the Ruddycleave stream. It is woven by a web of thinner streams descending from the wet, granite-bedded open moor.
The Garden rests high on the Moor although is slightly submerged inside a forest valley.
At its lower part, the Garden is populated by camellia shrubs, magnolia, azalia, amongst wild native plants, as it climbs higher we meet a Wilder Forest trees, oaks, birches, ashes, firs, until finally the mossy rockeries open up onto a native rain forest .. although that body beyond the mossy rock wall will be The Outer Garden
It is March and the temperate weather has already unfolded into full blooms of flowering bushes, embryonic ferns, insect life is beginning: oil bugs, butterflies, bees
The Birds are in abundance, the love the valley heavens and the insects that come to feed on sweet scent of the blooms. They sound busy, excited, as if in a symphony they sing in all vibrations announcing the day and the rays of spring Sun.
I am working with Orjana, who is 27 years old and a writer in her habitual interests.
During our Sessions I entered The Garden shortly after Orjana and stayed inside The Garden body with her, gently keeping suggesting end of session timings and bringing her new scores to work with, as well as tea, paper and other materials.
Session 1: Inner Garden - Waterways
Monday, Lunar Day, 3 hours
Mark The Entrance “I walk into my inner landscape, forest, or garden”
Circle Walk. The Garden and on the larger piece of paper Mark the Path of Water(s). - 30 min
Walk, Mark the Meeting of the waters, where the waters cross onto your Map. - 30min
Come Back to at least 3 of these Crossings, stay, perhaps touch the water with barefoot, hands, skin. Experience gestures arising in response to the meeting of the currents.
Write about the gestures, movement, symmetries, shapes you have experienced. You can use both words and symbols. Perhaps begin with Description and fade into visions, analogies if such occur. - 30min
Tea Break - 15min
Sit With the 2 small animal passage holes in the sandy ground on the bank of the Stream. Write about the holes with reference to an organ in your body. - 30min
Find a sit spot. Mark the Two holes on your Waterway map. Find and Mark your Body in the Waterway Map. - 30min
Leave The Garden by marking the stepping outside of its threshold “I leave my inner landscape, forest, or garden“
Outside of The Garden: write about what you did in The Garden. - 15min
Session 2: Inner Garden - Soil, Plant
Friday, The Day of Venus, 3 hours
Mark The Entrance “I walk into my inner landscape, forest, or garden”
Walk greeting the waters. Find sit spot or return to last sit spot. Observe with a gaze that meets, soft relaxed, yielding gaze. Pay attention to when the mind marks the end of the time.. continue. .. observe the quality of openness and encounters as you allow to stay beyond the mind mark. Write between 3 and 5 or more words starting with the letter F. - 30min
Meet trees or Plants. Every time greet the plant vocally eg ‘ hello’. Touch, smell, taste the plant, relate with the body,. Move to, move with, move as if the plant is watching you. Write and erotic/ love story with the plant. - 30min
Tea Break - 15min
Go back to one of the plants you worked with. Ask kindly to receive part of it (more than 3) which you will use to throw in a divination. Let these parts be similar in kind. - 30min
Find a place. Dig or clear the ground in a shape of your body. Perform a divination by throwing the plant parts into this Earth opening.

Prepare Moon Milk in a bowl
Give as offering to plant allies from last session and to the water
At the Sit spot, observe in soft gaze, closing eyes focusing ona auditory experience .. drink the moon milk, focusing on releasing teh inner moon
